MEET THE TEAM:
Cathy Deveno joined Quaker Special Risk in October of 2001. Cathy is Quaker’s Claims Manager, handling every loss that comes through our doors. She has built her career building relationships with claims adjusters, third party administrators, and all levels of claims executives within our agencies and on the Company side. Cathy obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College and has completed several courses through the Insurance Institute of America. Cathy resides in Webster with her husband Chad, and their 3 dogs. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys sports, traveling and reading.

Thomas Prokop is an Account Executive, specializing in Professional Liability – particularly cyber liability coverage and claims. Tom graduated from Boston College in 2000 and the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in 2004. Prior to joining Quaker Special Risk in 2016, Tom as a partner at Morrison Mahoney LLP, focusing on insurance defense law, especially as it pertains to first party property, liability, and bad faith claims. Ten years of practicing law makes Tom a valuable asset to Quaker as an in-house legal consultant. One of Tom’s roles is also overseeing the handling of claims for which Quaker has delegated authority. Tom is a member of state and federal bar in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. he is also a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and is presently pursuing the RPLU designation. Tom resides in Northborough with his wife Kelley, their 2 children, and Fritz, their beloved boxer. In his spare time Tom enjoys playing golf, skiing, and spending time in Florida with his family.
Shaun Germain joined Quaker Special Risk in May of 2013. His main responsibility is Professional Brokerage Compliance, though he assists with the claims process as well. In Shaun’s spare time he enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, outdoor activities, music, playing Xbox, watching movies, and attending annual Nascar races.
